Ritz nasce nel 2016. La scelta della location cade a Catania su un bel quartiere dei primi del 900’, itinerario degli storici palazzi del Liberty catanese. “Ritz” viene scelto in ricordo dei biscottini Saiwa che accompagnano l’aperitivo ma, poco dopo, una lettera da Parigi degli avvocati della ben più famosa categoria merceologica, chiede che il nome venga cambiato! Ed è così che nel logo una x viene messa a fare da croce alla tz finale ed il Ritz diventa Rix, bistrò, pizzeria, tapas bar, vineria e cocktail bar, dove i tre amici Renata, Diego e Franco uniscono le loro esperienze e le loro passioni.
Ritz was born in 2016. The choice of location falls on a beautiful early 20th-century neighbourhood in Catania, an itinerary of the historical buildings of Catania’s Liberty style. ‘Ritz’ is chosen in memory of the Saiwa biscuits that accompany the aperitif, but shortly after, a letter from Paris from the lawyers of the much more famous merchandise category, asks that the name be changed! And so it was that an ‘x’ was put in the logo to cross the final ‘tz’ and Ritz became Rix, bistrò, pizzeria, tapas bar, wine bar and cocktail bar, where the three friends Renata, Diego and Franco combine their experiences and their passions.
